Guide Review - Robotron 2084
Robotron 2084 is the originator of the two stick control scheme where you move with the left stick and shoot with the right stick, but in the years since its original release other games have come along that have tweaked that same formula into something far better.The way the game plays is that the play field is littered with enemy robots as well as humans you have to save. You just move around and shoot everything you can and hope you don't get touched by anything. As the game progresses more powerful robots are unleashed upon you in increasing numbers. Robotron 2084 is a crazily difficult game that will push your skills by the fourth or fifth level. Geometry Wars is hard but Robotron makes it look like child's play.
Because of the high difficulty level as well as the fact that it simply doesn't play as smoothly or look and sound as good as Geometry Wars I can't really recommend it. It is pretty much the exact same game just not nearly as polished so there isn't really any reason to drop 400 points on it.
