Guide Review - Dead or Alive 3
Honestly, the ladies of DOA3 really are quite beautiful. The graphics are simply outstanding and really make everything shine. If you don't mind a little fanservice to go with your fighting, or if you aren't a hardcore fighting game fan, DOA3 is a solid purchase.
The fighting engine is adequate, but simiple compared to Soul Calibur II which is also available on Xbox. There just aren't very many attacks for each character so you can learn pretty much everything in an hour or so. Tag team matches are much deeper and more fun because they flow so well. You can switch characters mid-combo to create very impressive stings of devastaing moves. Each arena you fight in has solid walls and hazards to hit your opponent into and you can also hit them off of mountainsides for maximum damage.
Dead or Alive 3 is rated "M" for violence, suggestive themes, and breif nudity. If you don't approve of this, you should probably pass DOA3 over. If you don't mind those sorts of things. DOA3 is worth thecking out just to see what the big deal is worth a rental.
