Is there any other series out there more desperately in need of a reboot than Resident Evil (I vote we go back to just simple zombies again ...)? As the years have gone on, the story has gotten too big and convoluted and confusing and the gameplay has increasingly lost any sort of unique identity it once had. Resident Evil 6 is the biggest RE game to date, with the most focus on story the series has had, but none of it actually makes a lick of sense and the gameplay is about as far from survival horror as you can possibly get and leans more toward Modern Brofare: Military Shooter #78393. Resident Evil 6 was supposed to be the ambitious game that righted the series wrongs and made it all better again, but instead it is a mediocre shooter desperately trying to hold onto a series it is only really related to in name only anymore.
