Halo 3 Series 1 Action Figure "Master Chief" Mini-Review

Friday March 7, 2008
When the first pictures of McFarlane's lineup of Halo 3 figures were first shown, I was excited. The detail and promised articulation seemed too good to be true. Well, it wasn't my friends. McFarlane has delivered some of the nicest videogame action figures I have seen so far.

I only have Master Chief currently, but after having it for a couple of days, I'm planning on buying a few more. What makes them so good? Well, first off, it is the detail. The armor is intricately detailed from the trademark helmet down to the bottom of the boots. Remember some of the renders and artwork from E3 2006? Well, the toy looks pretty much exactly like THIS. It is very detailed, and very accurate, and is very impressive. The second thing this figure does well is that is is very well articulated. With 18 points of articulation, it is pretty easy to pose the figure in just about any way you'd like. The figure is 5" tall and comes with a grenade and an assault rifle. At $11.99 each, they don't cost too much and collectors and Halo fans (and Red vs. Blue fans since Spartans are going to be released in a few different colors ...) should be very happy.
