Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is a deceptively simple and undeniably fun little game. It takes the classic two joystick gameplay that has been around for years and perfects it. Getting high scores and achievements is addictive and can and will keep you playing for hours at a time. This game is definitely worth the 400 marketplace points.

Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is an updated version of a game that first appeared as a hidden bonus in Project Gotham Racing 2 for the Xbox. As the name implies, the game pits your little ship against an endless army of geometric shapes. Different enemy shapes present different strengths and weaknesses and it is up to you to shoot them all before they have a chance to get you.
The gameplay should be very familiar to anyone that has played the classic Robotron 2084. The left stick moves your ship while the right stick shoots. You also earn bombs that you can use with the triggers on the Xbox 360 controller. All of this seems simple but it is amazingly addictive. At first the game is rather difficult, but practice makes perfect as seen by some of the astronomically high scores on the leaderboards.
Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is a fun game that will keep you coming back again and again. It is definitely worth the 400 points.
