Features and Modes
The major story in NCAA Football 07 for the Xbox 360 is missing features. You can play single games, dynasty mode, online play, and three minigames and that is it. There is no Campus Legend, spring drills, create-a-school mode, or mascot games from the Xbox version. Why exactly is this version $10 extra? Also, Im very disappointed to report that not all of the stadiums got the next-gen treatment. The big schools stadiums are here, but many schools are represented by the same generic stadium. Sure, the field the Boise State Broncos play on is blue in the game, but that sure as heck isnt Bronco Stadium. In fact, none of the 4 stadiums I have been to in real life are in the game, and that is a major bummer. One of the fun things about games like this is being able to see your campus represented in the game and that just doesnt happen here for most schools.
Gameplay

The 360 version has some glitches that the other versions do not have, however, which definitely hurts it. You will experience a ton of phantom pass interference calls and there is nothing you can do about it. I have also noticed a lot of catches made a step out of bounds that are allowed to stand even when I challenge them. I also have at least one play per game that is almost certainly a forward pass but is called a fumble. Annoying? Absolutely. Deal breakers? Not really.
Graphics and Sound
As I mentioned above, the graphics really do make a big difference in this game. Everything is so sharp and clear that it actually makes you play better. The crowd is also easily the best looking crowd in any sports game to date, which isnt a huge deal but is something youll definitely notice. I also absolutely love the fact that the lighting changes as the game goes on. Starting a game in the afternoon sun and having it gradually darken to sunset and then playing under the lights is really, really cool. Once you see and play the 360 version, it is really hard to go back to the Xbox version. There is that big of a difference. The sound is pretty much the same as the other versions of the game. Good stadium sound, decent commentary from Nessler, Herbstreit, and Corso, and the same good school fight songs. The sound effects for the action on the field seem to be better on the 360, however, and the crunch of a big hit is pretty satisfying here.
Bottom Line
