Guide Review - Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball Review (Xbox)
The story of the game is that you are called to Zack Island to compete in the 4th Dead or Alive fighting tournament. When you arrive you find only the female fighters and it turns out that Zack invited all of the women to his island for two weeks of fun, sun, and volleyball. The way the game works is that you find a volleyball partner by giving them gifts and finding out what they like. Once you have a partner, you spend your days playing volleyball agaisnt other teams and your nights gambling in the casino.
Unfortunately, the volleyball isn't really all that great. Knowing the buttons for spike and set and then moving around is pretty much all you need to know.
This is the only real problem with the game. The volleyball matches are just too easy and too mindless to really make this game anything more than a pretty face. It is kind of fun, but it doesn't compare favorably to the polish of the rest of the game.
Oh yeah. There are xot girls playing beach volleyball. Just like DOA3, the ladies really shine and really are the only attraction. DOAX is a fun sort of guilty pleasure game.
Give it a rent of buy it for cheap.
