When it launches on November 4th, 2010, Kinect will cost $150 and will come with a copy of Kinect Adventures. There will also be a new Xbox 360 system bundle with 4GB of internal memory and Kinect for $299.
Some concern has been raised over the $150 price point as it is pretty expensive and nearly the same price as a Nintendo Wii all by itself and still requires an Xbox 360 system (which costs between $150 and $300 currently) to actually use. We feel justification for the price comes from the multiplayer aspect. If you want to play multiplayer on Wii or with Sony's Move system for PS3, you have to buy additional controllers for $50-80. With Kinect, you can play multiplayer games right out of the box with that initial investment and won't ever have to buy anything extra.
