Microsoft E3 2010 Media Briefing Full Details

By , About.com Guide

Microsoft's E3 2010 Media Briefing has come and gone and we have full details on everything that was shown. Not a lot of surprises this year, but not a bad show. Kinect looks promising and we can't wait to play Metal Gear Solid Rising. Full details on everything else right here, including the new Xbox 360 "Slim".

Call of Duty: Black Ops release date - 11-09-10. Looks pretty good. Nice visuals. All future Call of Duty DLC packs will launch first on Xbox 360 for the next 3 years.

Project Natal officially named Kinect.

Metal Gear Solid Rising - Sword-based action game starring Raiden. Destructible environments and great physics that let you cut pretty much anything with your sword. Looks fantastically fun.

Gears of War 3 - Looks like a Gears of War game, which is a good thing. New enemies and female soldiers shown.

Fable III - Set 5 decades after Fable II. October 26th release date.

New Crytek Xbox 360 exclusive - Codename Kingdoms. Not sure what genre it will be.

Halo: Reach coming in September. First campaign footage is shown. Great music. Looks like Halo which is, again, a good thing. No recharging health. Space combat section in a ship.

Kinect detects movement and sound. Recognizes different people so you can sign into your profile just by waving at the camera. Can use voice recognition to select onscreen items or control movie playback. Fast forward through movies with just hand movements.

Video Kinect will let you video chat. Since Kinect has a built in microphone, you won't need a headset. Can watch a movie or other video content with the person you are video chatting with. Kinect can automatically follow your movements to keep you in frame.

ESPN networks exclusively on Xbox 360. More than 3,500 live and in-demand sporting events. Most content in high definition. Uses Kinect for voice commands for playback. Real time polls and trivia during live games. Will give you access to scoreboards and other info while you watch. Included with Xbox Live Gold.

Kinectimals - Animal petting and playing game for Kinect. Looks completely adorable and fun. 40 different animals. Nice graphics.

Kinect Sports - Showed hurdle running - you move your feet and jump just like you would in real life. Soccer, bowling, track & field, table tennis, boxing, volleyball also shown. Uses Avatars.

Kinect Joyride - Kart racing game. Steer and boost with motion controls.

Kinect Adventures - Duck, lean, and move to collect items and avoid obstacles. Allows other players to join automatically when the camera detects them. Takes photos of players while they play. Looks goofy and fun. Over 20 different adventures to play.

Your Shape Fitness Evolved - Exercise game from Ubisoft. Looks kind of fun.

Dance Central - Harmonix dance game. Real dance moves and routines taken from stage shows and music videos for each song. Training mode, different difficulty levels. Conclusion - Dancing is hard.

Kinect will launch in North America on November 4, 2010. 15 launch titles. No price info yet.

Star Wars Lightsaber game from LucasArts coming 2011.

New Forza Game from Turn 10 for Kinect. Motion controlled steering, head tracking so you can look around. Full HD graphics. Coming 2011.

New Xbox 360 system design. Built in Wi-Fi. Smaller, more quiet. 250 GB HDD. $299.99 price tag. In stores this week.
