LEGO Rock Band is a family-friendly take on the music/rhythm genre that gamers of all ages will be able to enjoy. It matches the funny, goofy, cute LEGO universe with Rock Band for surprisingly good results. We have the full track listing in the game right here.

Band Hero is a more pop and mainstream rock focused game than the Guitar Hero series has been. That is a bad thing if you like hard rock and metal, but probably a good thing for everyone else in your life. This is an accessible game that will be fun for the whole family. Microsoft stole the show at E3 2009 with its new motion controller, codenamed Project Natal. The new controller isn't a wand or remote like other systems have, and is instead a video camera, microphone, and special sensors that see you in full 3D so your whole body becomes the controller. EA have officially announced the full car and track lists for Need for Speed: Shift, currently scheduled for release September 22nd, 2009. We have the full lists right here.

Forums go crazy speculating what the announcement might be and hype builds to critical mass before, without fail, the announcement turns out to be a dud. Activision has officially announced the full track list for Guitar Hero: World Tour. The game is scheduled to be on store shelves on October 26th. It is also noteworthy that this isn’t just a normal Guitar Hero game like we are used to. It will also include drums and vocals as well as the ability to edit your own note charts. Typically, the Winter and Spring seasons are a slow time for the videogame industry. Not in 2008. The sheer number of high profile titles that got pushed from Fall 07 to Winter/Spring 08 is amazing. With a new, smaller, faster (better?) E3 this year, Microsoft decided to do things a little differently for their press conference. Rather than tantalize gamers with new stuff that is years away, they instead showed games that are actually going to come out this year. A novel concept, I know. It didn’t lead to any real surprises, since we knew most of this stuff already, but you can’t deny that the Holiday 2007 Xbox 360 lineup is looking extremely good.

Viva Piñata is an absolutely amazing game that stands among my favorite titles on the Xbox 360, but it was seemingly lost in the shuffle during the holiday season. It isn’t really surprising that a niche title like this was overwhelmed by the likes of Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Tony Hawk’s Project 8, Need for Speed Carbon, and all of the rest, but I can guarantee you that it would have sold better if Microsoft hadn’t botched the marketing. Microsoft's E3 2010 Media Briefing has come and gone and we have full details on everything that was shown. Not a lot of surprises this year, but not a bad show. Microsoft has revealed a brand new version of the Xbox 360 console. The Xbox 360 "Slim" is smaller than the original Xbox 360 system and offers a 250GB HDD and built in Wi-Fi. It has also been designed with Kinect in mind as it offers a special port to supply power to Kinect that older Xbox 360 models don't offer. Activision has officially revealed the full 90-song setlist for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The last few GH games have had watered down song lists to try to appeal to everyone, but Warriors of Rock goes back to the series' roots with a tracklist made up almost exclusively of hard rock and heavy metal. And it is looking pretty good with 80% of the songs making their first appearance in a music game along with a handful of artists making their music game debuts as well. Microsoft kicked off the 2010 Tokyo Game Show with a keynote speech highlighting a ton of newly announced titles for Kinect. The best news? They are all going to be Xbox 360 exclusive, and many of them are aimed squarely at the hardcore gamer crowd that has, up to this point, seemingly been ignored by Kinect's initial offerings. None of these new titles will be available at Kinect's launch in November, but we'll see them in 2011.
