'Tis the season for arbitrary lists. Today's topic - My favorite Xbox 360 retail games of 2012. Cynics like to pretend that many media game of the year votes come down to moneyhats, or marketing budgets, or PR gifts, or hype, or hardcore gamer popularity. Not here. These are just the games, out of the dozens and dozens and dozens that I played this year, that stuck with me because I genuinely enjoyed them. Can't get more honest and transparent than that. Wow, this is a great list. Most of the other top 10s are just the top best selling or top hyped games. I have gift cards to different places after Christmas and was looking to see what games I have missed or overlooked this year. Thanks for this list and especially thanks for explaining why each hit the list. I’ll definitely be picking some of these up that I would have otherwise missed out on.
