The NBA 2K series is one of the most pro-consumer series in all of videogames. The developers never rest on their laurels. They are never satisfied with just releasing something with minor changes and calling it good enough. They don't phone it in for a year or two because their only competition has cancelled its game weeks before release on two separate occasions. They keep moving forward. Making improvements. And making a great game year after year that is better than the ones that came before it. NBA 2K13 is the latest in their long line of excellent basketball games and, yes, it is the best one yet.
