The old joke from Madden haters is that it is the same game every year with just a roster update. Fans of the series know that isn't true, but it isn't so easy to explain subtle gameplay differences and how they impact the action on the field or changes in how offseason contract negotians work to the naysayers because they don't understand and/or don't care. EA Sports' latest pro football sim, Madden NFL 13, is a little more flashy with improvements that anyone can recognize like a significant number of tweaks and upgrades to features and modes and even the physics that govern everything on the field that really do make this game feel fresh and new and fun again.
