The trend with recent LEGO games has been mostly to go bigger. More characters. More abilities. More hidden stuff. Etc. The gameplay is mostly set in stone at this point after so many games, but adding more variety in what you get to do helps keep it interesting. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes follows this formula to perfection to keep the core gameplay fans know and love, but adding a ton of stuff to do get you hooked all over again.
