Rockstar Announces GTA IV DLC Episode #2 "The Ballad of Gay Tony"

Tuesday May 26, 2009
Rockstar Games today officially announced details on the second downloadable episode for Grand Theft Auto IV, exclusively for Xbox 360. The new episode is titled "The Ballad of Gay Tony" and Rockstar describes it as - (from the press release)
"The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."

No specific release date was given, but it will come out Fall 2009 and cost 1600 MS points ($20) and requires a copy of GTA IV to play.

Rockstar also made a huge announcement that the two DLC episodes (The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony) will also be released as a stand alone retail disc this Fall for $39.99. Just to clarify, "stand alone retail disc" means you won't need a copy of GTA IV to be able to play them. You'll be able to play the two episodes and explore Liberty City all you want completely separate from GTA IV. The retail disc is called "Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City".
