We’re kind of reaching critical mass as far as plastic instruments go. Everyone has a stack of guitars and at least one drum kit (or three), and I know I’m not alone in my fear that one day they will bind together to form a super robot that will enslave us all. We wouldn’t be feeding this plastic monster if the new instruments coming out every year weren’t so darn good, though, so it is a double-edged sword. How do the Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments stack up to what you already have? Find out right here.

Hey Eric, these instruments are supposed to have a short life span. Same goes for cars, cellphones and whole bunch of other goods.

Hey Eric,

Just wondering if you know whether the touch pad is compatible with Rock Band 2, or if it is just the top buttons that work.
I understand the touch pad area is a special feature that doesn’t require the strumming, but was curious as I need to pick up a second guitar for Rock Band 2.
Also, I put together a compatibility list between the Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero Guitars if it helps your readers, it is available here,

hope you find it useful.
