How To Make The Next GTA Live Up To The Hype
Tuesday May 13, 2008
If you have read my review of GTA IV, you would know I was a little disappointed with it. Still a good game. I enjoyed it enough that I beat the story and am still playing it. But I didn’t find it “10/10” and “Game of the Year 2008” good like so many other reviewers said. What would I change so the next game actually does live up to the hype? Find out right here.

Interesting - I def like the multiple perspectives / branching mission ideas. I personally think that alone could make a huge difference in how a next-gen a game feels. That said, your whining about the “moral qualms” of dealing drugs and killing certain individuals is kind of hilarious considering the name of the game is Grand Theft Auto and has traditionally revolved around performing various acts of crime to get to the top. You can always play “Bully” if you are uptight about dealing virtual drugs and killing virtual people. Face it, the install base for this game loves the M rating because it is the Id incarnate. Try turning off that large Super Ego of yours and go shoot up a Burger Shot. You heard that lady call you fat when she handed you that burger!
I have no issues with the content. It would just be 100% better to have a choice.
I agree with your opinion on this one, 100% on the points 2,3 and 4, really good thinking, i hope this turn true in the next installement, for me the game deserves a 9.5, not a perfect 10
As long as the light sabers and fake crap like that are only available by cheat codes, then I pretty much agree with everything you say.
I was quite sad when I couldn’t buy property.
I think for the next one they should make it an MMO. That way you could do your missions and have “gangs” that will help you along with “gangs” that are your rivals. Now that would make things interesting. That would require an even larger city or an entire state. It’s possible though, WOW is a great example of what it would be like. MMO GTA would be much more fun though.
Ya Grand theft auto would def be better if you couldbuy and customize houses and buy cooler clothes cause niko really only has cloths that are suited for old man rivers. but the best feature missing is the customization of vehicles. but also keep in mind that this is a new system. grand theft auto will greatly improve as it goes just like grand theft auto 3 turned into san andreas which kicked ass. i still give the game a 10 just 4 its realness and because i know this will turned into an even better game. also you seem like you might be better off playin dungeons and dragons or monopoly Peace IM OUT!!1
