Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 Arcade System

Tuesday October 23, 2007
Microsoft today officially announced a new Xbox 360 SKU. This new bundle is meant to replace the bare bones Core system with something that is a heck of a lot better value even though it costs the same. For $199.99, you can get the Xbox 360 Arcade system that includes:

  • Xbox 360 Core base system, now with HDMI port
  • Wireless controller
  • 256MB Memory Unit
  • Full versions of Xbox Live Arcade games - Uno, Pac-Man Championship Edition, Luxor 2, Feeding Frenzy, and Boom Boom Rocket
This is a pretty good little bundle for casual gamers or people that don't plan on using Xbox Live too much. And as a replacement for the low end Core system that didn't really come with anything, it is an incredibly good deal.

You can read the full press release here.

well its still best to have the hard drive, but at least people trying to get a 360 for cheap get a pretty good deal out of it.
