Microsoft Officially Announces Xbox 360 Price Drop

Rumors have been swirling for weeks now that Microsoft would lower the price of the Xbox 360, and now Microsoft has made it official. As of August 8th, 2007, the price of Xbox 360 consoles will be:

• Premium - $349.99
• Elite - $449.99
• Core - $279.99
• Halo 3 Special Edition Console - $399.99 (in stores in September)
