Sega today announced that the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5, scheduled to ship this fall, will include online play over Xbox Live. In addition to online play, existing game modes will be expanded and improved as well. For more information, check out the Official Virtua Fighter 5 website.
My Comments: This is huge news. Virtua Fighter 5 is a deep, complex game that, unfortunately, isn't quite as pick-up-and-play friendly as other fighters. Basically, unless your friends also have the game and have practiced as much as you have, you are going to destroy them. Which means that your friends will probably start whining and want to go back to playing something easier like Tekken or Dead or Alive. The online mode in the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 ensures that you'll always have equally skilled opponents to play against. And thats a good thing.
