E3 2006 Rumor - Guitar Hero on 360? Maybe...

On May 9th Activision announced that it had acquired Red Octane, the publisher of the insanely awesome Guitar Hero for PS2. That isn't the big story, though.
What makes all of this interesting is that e-mails are popping up from Harmonix (the developer of Guitar Hero) employees that indicate an Xbox 360 version might be in the works. The key quote comes from Mike Dornbrook who says "We'd be crazy not to do a 360 version. It will take some time to do it right, though. Hang in there."

This is far from a confirmation, but it is a good sign.

IT would open the door for downloadable songs (the ps# does this too) But 3-7 months down the road…downloadable expansion songs….
PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE i just sold my ps2 so i could afford an xbox 360 which i have been savin it up for A LONG TIME and then i found it they didnt have guitar hero 2 or 1…..please keep me posted on whats goin on with this…PLEASE lol i will order it the day its actually announced…hopefully before christmas lol
Not looking good for a soon release. I’ve been doing some MAJOR research, and I can’t find anything even suggesting a release date. From what I can find, I’m thinking June 2007 at the earliest. Oh well, I’ll just rock out this summer I guess.
