Nyko Custom Faceplate Kit - Xbox 360

Tuesday April 18, 2006
The good folks over at Nyko have come up with a surprisingly good idea for customizing Xbox 360 faceplates. Rather than having a big chunk of plastic you are stuck with forever, you can now simply print out whatever design you want. The kit comes with a two-piece faceplate - a heavier back piece and a clear plastic piece - and fifteen blank templates that you can print anything you want onto. You then just sandwich the printed design between the faceplate pieces and, voila, you have a custom faceplate. Very cool. NYKO

I have one of these kits, and I must say that it is one of the best accessories that I’ve ever bought for my Xbox 360. I was hesitant at first, since I had already tried a ‘custom faceplate’ kit, that allowed me to go online and customize ONE faceplate that was painted and sent to me. Upon receiving this faceplate, I found that it was wrong. I had wasted $30 on a piece of crap. But, Nyko’s kit is amazing! You can create custom faceplates anytime you want to. They provide you with a generous supply of blank templates, and even a few pre-printed ones. It seems dull at first, but as soon as you click in the “clear coat” layer of the faceplate, you won’t be able to tell the difference between a store bought faceplate and your custom made one. Great buy! Get it!
